Training

Our care staff are given specialist skills and qualifications through our partner business, Pat Frankish Training.

Frankish Training

Company Director, Dr Pat Frankish, has pioneered work on trauma and disability over many years and her ‘Frankish Assessment of the Impact of Trauma in Intellectual Disability’ (FAIT) assessment tool is now published by leading CPD publishers within the fields of health, social care and education, Pavilion, together with a self-study guide for staff, and another for parents and carers.

There is a growing body of evidence about early trauma, and repeated traumatic experiences for people with disabilities and the time is now for making a difference. Our organisational goal is to see this work disseminated and made available to a wider group of people in order to improve the lives of a vulnerable group throughout the world.

Frankish Training currently provide the following training packages both internally and externally, all of which can be individually tailored to meet the bespoke needs of individuals and those who support them:

  • Trauma Informed Care Level 1 – An Introduction to Disability Psychotherapy
  • Trauma Informed Care Level 2
  • Trauma Informed Care Level 5
  • Trauma Informed Care Level 7
  • “All Behaviour has Meaning”
  • Trauma Informed Care in Intellectual Disability – A Self-Study Guide for Health and Social Care Support Staff
  • Nought to Three – Becoming Me – A Guide for Parents (and those who support them)
  • The Frankish Assessment of the Impact of Trauma in Intellectual Disability (FAIT)
